A music club I’ve been a part of– hosted by my friend Joshusa Finnell— tried our first-ever digital gathering. Like usual, we had a theme and each of us picked out a few songs to share. But this time the theme was “quarantine” and we connected on a website I put together for that purpose.
The project displays entries we compiled together on a Google sheet. It’s built with React and styled with Materialize. I added additional recommendations via the Spotify API.
The site was archived on a Journal of the Plague Year, a project from Arizona State University:
A Journal of the Plague Year began with a simple email conversation between Catherine O’Donnell, Richard Amesbury, and Mark Tebeau in the School for Historical, Philosophical, and Religious Studies at Arizona State University. With seed funding from ASU, the project has blossomed to a curatorial collaborative with scores of nodes across North America and Australia.
